Steve Cohen is an Emmy and ACE Eddie award winning film editor, teacher and author. He has worked a series of films for such directors as Martha Coolidge, Bob Rafelson and John Herzfeld, including 15 Minutes, Blood and WineRambling Rose and Lost in Yonkers. In television he edited longform projects for HBO and Showtime and worked on the series The Bridge and Wayward Pines.

Throughout his career, Cohen has been a technology pioneer, editing both the first television movie and the first feature film with an Avid, and he continues to work closely with Avid Technology, helping them to develop the system so many editors now love. He wrote two books about this process and won ACE’s prestigious Robert Wise Award for his writing. He founded the editing program at the American Film Institute and served as its first chairman. He also co-founded and edited the Editors Guild Magazine.

He is currently the lead editor on Amazon’s Bosch.
