SFX Coordinator
From a very young age Brandon Keys McLaughlin, aka “B.K.”, had an interest in physics and mechanical engineering. He fell in love with the craft of Special Effects at the age of 8 when he was on set to see the zeppelin blow up in the movie THE ROCKETEER.
His 25 years in the film industry began at the age of 18 as a Special Effects PA in the movie TWISTER. He has worked in the Special Effects Department for major motion pictures such as PEARL HARBOR, ARMEGEDDON, THERE WILL BE BLOOD, THE HUNGER GAMES TRILOGY, HAIL,CAESAR!, DEEPWATER HORIZON, NEWS OF THE WORLD, and THE HARDER THEY FALL. Most recently, he was the Special Effects Coordinator for Martin Scorsese’s KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.
B.K. was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, just outside of Los Angeles, California.
