Production Designer
Udo Kramer has been designing German and international features and TV series since graduating from Potsdam Babeslberg Film School in 2005.
He has collaborated with director Philipp Stölzl on the films “North Face”, “Young Goethe in Love” and “The Physician”, starring Sir Ben Kingsley. All three films earned Kramer nominations for the German film award for best production design.
Internationally Kramer worked together with director Marjane Satrapi on her live action films “Chicken with Plums” and “The Voices”. He has designed the films “Into the White” for Norwegian director Petter Naess and “Point Break” (2015) for us director Ericson Core. From 2017 to 2019 he designed 3 seasons of “Dark” for which he won the German television Academy Award for best production design as well as the Grimme Award. In 2021 he collaborated with show runners Baran Odar & Jantje Friese on the Netflix TV series “1899“ again. He recently wrapped a new season of “Black Mirror” for Netflix.
Kramer lives in Berlin, Germany.
