Tim Blake

Production Designer

Bafta nominated Tim Blake, is an artist turned production designer.  Originally from the UK, Tim spent his early years in Saudi Arabia.  Following his studies in Manchester during the height of the ‘Madchester’ music scene, he moved to Paris and later to London to work as a fine artist.  Always heavily influenced by film imagery and lighting, his paintings have been exhibited in the US and across Europe.  In the early 00s he began making his own art films before going on to work with award winning designers on commercial productions.

Throughout his wide-ranging career, Tim has art directed, supervised and concepted smaller independent films to large scale studio films. His work on Pistols, directed by Danny Boyle, earned him a BAFTA nomination to sit alongside his BFDG awards for work on Rocketman and Last Night in Soho.  Most recently, he has stepped into the role of production designer, collaborating with director Ric Roman Waugh on his latest action film, which was shot on location across the UK and Ireland.
