Tia Nolan

Editor

TIA NOLAN knew she wanted to be an editor when she was 16 years old after being introduced to the craft through a high school video production class.  After graduating from USC School of Cinematic Arts in 1991, she was fortunate enough to be mentored by Richard Marks and worked as his assistant and ultimately co-editor on such films as I’ll Do Anything (1994)You’ve Got Mail (1998) and Spanglish (2004).

Tia Nolan got her big break editing Bewitched (2005) with Nora Ephron and from there she built a career in comedies with films like Friends with Benefits (2011), Annie (2014), How To Be Single (2016), I Feel Pretty (2018), Superintelligence (2020) and Thunder Force (2021).  During that time, Tia dipped her toe into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as an Additional Editor on Avengers: Endgame (2019) and returned as editor for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).

Often brought in at the script stage of a movie, Tia has been praised for her talent with story and characters. She works with each department overseeing complex visual effects sequences, sound design and music. Her love of film shows through her craft.

Tia resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
