Costume Designer
Laura Frecon is an Emmy Nominated Costume Designer for Film, Television and Theatre. She is an alumni of the New School University, where she received her M.F.A. and holds a joint B.A. in Theatre and Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Laura is a member of the Costume Designer’s Guild Local 892 in Los Angeles as well as the United Scenic Artists Guild Local 829
in New York.
Laura has designed costumes for Film, Television, Theatre, Print, Fashion, Dance and Opera. Her works range from period silhouettes to contemporary high fashion. She most recently finished designing “Clean Slate” for Sony Pictures and has been nominated for a PrimeTime Emmy for Best Period Costume Design on the Netflix series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”.
Noted Film Credits Include: “Kong: Skull Island”, “Boys in the Band”, “Nostalgia”, “McFarland, USA”, “Men in Black 3”, “Dinner for Schmucks” and “Loaded”.
Television Credits Include: “Inventing Anna”, “Bridgerton Season 2”, “How to Get Away with Murder”, “American Beauty Star”, “Manhunt: The Unabomber”, “True Blood”, “Quarry”, “The Brink” and “Mad Men-season 4” where her team received an Emmy Nomination for Best Period Costume Design as well as a Costume Designer’s Guild Award Nomination.
With a passion for sustainable beauty, fashion, life and all things green, Frecon also serves as President/CEO of the eco-conscious lifestyle platform, Verte Luxe. She has chosen to dedicate her years of experience in the entertainment and fashion industries to a deeper cause. As a Costume Designer, she consistently seeks to bring small businesses, entrepreneurs, and ethical designers onto the screen.
