Kara Zeigon

Kara’s experiences that she has accrued in her 20 plus years of the industry aid in her grasp of budget, logistics and management.  Advancing from intern to art department coordinator, set dresser, assistant set decorator, set decorator and production designer has allowed Kara to understand the structure of the department and enables her to focus on fulfilling deadlines- within budget, while attaining the vision of the production.  She loves to lead a robust team that attend to all attention of detail.

She began studying theater in high school, which continued at NYU TISCH School of the Arts.  Halfway through her freshman year her design teacher said, “Have you ever thought about design?  You speak in pictures.”  From that moment, Kara was hooked.  She found that she loved set design and made collaborations that have lasted all these years. Kara realized at an early age that her work depends on synergy and planted those seeds of how to solve problems creatively.
