Domo Jones film Career had a huge jump start in 2013, when he was selected as a Emmys Arts & Science Fellow. Going from an intern to Camera PA on Glee. Jones career continued to shoot up fast as a camera assistant from 2014-2020, after years of gaining experience in commercials, Music Videos, Documentaries, TV shows and Indie Features. This path helped his versatility as a Cinematographer. Shooting projects for Netflix Strong Black Lead, Bud Light, SpringHill x Samsung, Popeyes, Vans, Vogue, and many other well-known companies and brands.
Making room for other Black and POC filmmakers has been one of Jones’ main priorities as his career has risen. He has aided a number of black men and women in advancing in the camera department and launching some of their careers. His sets have been dubbed as masterclasses. Even though it’s a formal workplace, he encourages individuals to learn, ask questions, and feel comfortable being on set in these unusual locations. Jones will continue to make an effort to increase his opportunities for both himself and other people.
