David Berman

David Berman moved to Los Angeles in 1999 after completing his last semester at Emerson College Los Angeles. During that time he had an internship at New Line Cinema in their post-production department that led to a part time job in their dub room, and eventually to a post-production assistant job on the film Blow.

Having apprenticed and assisted some of the finest editors in town on films such as About Schmidt, Sideways, Crazy, Stupid Love, and Wild, David got his big editing break on the HBO limited series Big Little Lies and was subsequently nominated for his first Emmy and ACE award. He has been fortunate enough to continue working on award winning television since his initial debut, and was honored to work on other award winning series’ such as Sharp Objects, Nine Perfect Strangers, and most recently The Dropout.

David lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children, and he enjoys hiking the beautiful California landscape and cooking the best BBQ in town for his friends and family.
