Craig Langus

First Assistant Director

A graduate of American University in Washington DC, Craig Langus began his career as an NBC Page at 30 Rock in NYC where he worked in various departments for the network before eventually landing with Network Promotions. Craig worked in edit rooms for nearly 10 years, becoming a Post-Production Producer for various networks including Oxygen, Sci-Fi, & The History Channel.

Craig continued to use his growing skill base to create material and experimental films before Sony Pictures brought him onto its feature film development unit. Ultimately however, he realized that his passion was working on set.

Over the next 13 years, Craig rose through the Production ranks and in 2010, he was recognized by the Directors Guild of America and welcomed as an official member. In the nearly two decades since he entered the business, Craig has worked on film & television projects alike from Los Angeles to Chicago and now New York. With over 102 episodes of broadcast television across every major network under his belt, Craig has led production teams including “Prison Break”, “Glee”, “Scandal”, “Chicago P.D”  and most recently, “FBI: Most Wanted,” as well as feature films such as Iron Man 3 and Cowboys & Aliens.

With the ability to combine logistical production expertise with a surgical understanding of the day-to-day challenges of feature film & television creation, Craig’s raw storytelling ability and truly original creative instincts make him a true asset to Directors as a 1st AD as well as in the Director’s chair.
