Brooke Wilcox & Sekyiwa Wi-Afedzi

Costume Designer

SEKYIWA WI-AFEDZI:

Sekyiwa is a creative talent based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. With a background in luxury and international business management and branding, she has a unique and pragmatic perspective on strategy, project/production management, curation, and interpersonal relationships. As a stylist, she has worked on a wide range of commercial projects with local and international brands. As a costume designer, Sekyiwa carved a path designing costumes for smaller indie features but since 2017 has worked on larger features and series for studios like MGM, Awesomeness Films, Netflix, The Walt Disney Company and the Global Television Network as well as on several projects with award-winning directors, actors and screenwriters. In 2018 Sekyiwa won a Leo Award for her costume design on the breakout feature film “Dead Shack”, directed by Peter Ricq.

 

BROOKE WILCOX:

Coming from an educational background in commerce, majoring in international business and marketing, Brooke’s focus changed to fashion after interning at renowned Fashion PR Firm, Karla Otto. From that experience, she went on to assist a variety of stylists worldwide on shoots for publications such as Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, and POP Magazine. Her interest in celebrity dressing came after assisting Harper’s Bazaar UK stylist Leith Clark on red carpet dressing for Michelle Williams’ 2011 Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. Returning to Vancouver in 2014 with a collective interest in film and fashion, Brooke worked on an assortment of television and feature film projects as an assistant designer and costume buyer for various networks such as CBS and Netflix. She has since made the move toward costume design and styling for commercials and established networks like The Walt Disney Company and Global Television Network.
