Bob Rolsky

Line Producer

How did a drummer and radio DJ from Bangor, Maine end up in the DGA? A semester of graduate school at San Francisco State took me across the country. Once in California a move to LA seemed inevitable. Since I had no job I volunteered to work on the McGovern campaign where I met Ed Asner at a Beverly Hills fundraiser. We spoke briefly and two weeks later I was working in the mailroom at the Burbank Studios (WB, Columbia, Lorimar and others). Six months in the mailroom, two years in the operations dept and four years as assistant to the head of production for Columbia Television followed. The studio sponsored me and the next thing I knew I was a second assistant director working for Columbia TV on various projects. I was fortunate to spend 10 years on that lot working my way from mailroom to UPM. The rest is included in my extensive resume on IMDB. I’m a very experienced UPM ready to work for you. Local to LA and Chicago. I’ve been lucky to work in many cities all over the country.
