Reynolds Barney

Reynolds Barney is a film editor based in Los Angeles, but he was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, but moved away from the islands to attend the American Film Institute as an Editing Fellow, where he received his MFA. He is a frequent collaborator with Director Justin Chon. He cut Justin’s narrative feature films Gook, Ms. Purple, and Jamojaya, all Sundance premieres, and Blue Bayou which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. He also worked on the Disney+ anthology series Launchpad.
