Costume Designer
Andréa is a visionary costume designer and stylist whose couture creations bring characters to life, weaving storytelling into every layer of her designs. With a career spanning film, television, and print, Andréa has collaborated with some of the most talented directors and actors in the industry. Her passion for her craft is matched by her ability to transform concepts into timeless, impactful looks that immerse audiences in new worlds.
Although Andréa began her journey in Business and Finance at the University of British Columbia, her love for fashion ultimately led her to Ryerson University’s design program. Balancing motherhood with her studies and burgeoning career, she quickly built a reputation for her innovative and streamlined styles.
Her impressive body of work includes notable projects such as Battle in Seattle, which opened the Toronto International Film Festival and starred Academy Award winner Charlize Theron and Ray Liotta; the CW’s award-winning superhero series Supergirl, where she was credited for her imaginative fantasy/sci-fi costumes worn by Melissa Benoist and Jon Cryer; and Sitting on the Edge of Marlene, featuring Cannes Best Actress winner Suzanne Clément and Callum Keith Rennie.
Andréa thrives on the diversity of each project, bringing creativity and collaboration to every endeavor, both in front of and behind the camera. Beyond her professional achievements, she draws inspiration from her travels, incorporating cultural elements from around the world into her designs.
Based on unceded Coast Salish territories, Andréa continues to push boundaries, creating art that captivates and inspires.
