Al started as a Production Assistant at Roger Corman’s Studio in Venice Beach, CA.  and worked his way through various departments. He did stints as a Location Scout and Manager, Driver and Transportation Coordinator, Second, Second Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director, First Assistant Director and finally as a Unit Production Manager. He then began working as a freelance Line Producer / UPM / First Assistant Director.

Upon completing a movie in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was offered the position of Vice President of Production at a completion bond company that was expanding their business into the United States market. Over the next four years, he was responsible for assessing the risk and viability, and monitoring the productions of more than 100 film projects. He built and maintained strong relationships with production companies, investors, producers, bankers, production managers and accountants. Their trust enabled him to generate over one million dollars in fees for the company.

He returned to the production community with a solid understanding of the intricacies involved in the entire stage of the production and post-production process. He is adept at overseeing all aspects of production, including budgeting, scheduling, negotiating contracts, monitoring expenses, managing resources and troubleshooting production related issues as they arise. He brings strong organizational skills, a keen eye and innate ability to hire the right team and the ability to communicate clearly with all the members of the production team to any project.
