Born in Italy, Sergio Ercolessi launched his career in the world of television as an Editor and Director of segments at a young age. Over time, his passion for storytelling and dedication to his craft led him to Rome, where he made his mark in the film industry.
Initially, Sergio focused on collaborations in commercials and independent Italian movies. His career took a significant turn when he worked as a 2nd AD alongside legendary Italian 1st AD, Tony Brandt, on a TNT Bible episode.
Right after, Sergio became a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and ventured into international productions.
His versatility shines through in his work with acclaimed directors like Brian Helgeland, Alan Taylor, Mel Gibson, and Terry Gilliam on various films. Simultaneously, he contributed to a diverse array of TV series, including “Rome” (HBO), “J. Paul II” (CBS), “Coco Chanel” (Lifetime), “Whiskey Cavalier” (ABC), “Catch-22” (HULU), and “The Decameron” (Netflix US).
