Physical Production
Director of Photography
I developed a love of photography at a young age working as a photographer’s assistant in the 70’s in downtown Manhattan. When I wasn’t printing or developing film, I went to every movie I could, from first-run features to classic films. This led to my desire to become a DP, and I was accepted to a very small but amazing film program at SUNY Purchase. After graduating, I spend six years living in Italy and Germany, where I worked as a camera assistant n 12 films, and at age 24 shot my first feature. I moved back to NYC and kept myself busy with music videos and commercials. By the early 90’s I was ready for features and TV, and have worked with many very talented people on some great projects. I’ve been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 1998. The selections on this website are projects that define my journey as a filmmaker up to the present.
