Camilo Monsalve Ossa is highly acclaimed cinematographer born in Medellín Colombia. Camilo is a passionate and creative cinematographer of films, short films, documentaries, music videos and commercials, whose work exudes romance and poetry.
Camilo’s skill behind the lens has made him a sought-after cinematographer, and he has worked on a variety of projects. From feature films to commercials, Camilo’s keen eye and understanding of the cinematic language creates stunning visuals that transport viewers into the stories he works on. His masterful touch and profound understanding of the cinematic language imbue his work with a poetic and romantic flair. His awe-inspiring visuals, rendered with sublime composition and light, transport viewers into a realm of grandeur and emotion. From bustling cityscapes and rolling hills, to towering glaciers and historic destinations, Camilo captures each image with an eye for extraordinary beauty, adding depth and sensitivity to each story he tells.
Camilo’s talents have earned him multiple accolades, including silver and bronze recognition at Cannes Lions across various categories in commercial and short format categories. Notably, Camilo contributed to the visual storytelling of Juan Felipe Zuleta’s “Unidentified Objects” and received a nomination for Best Cinematography at the VMAs for his work on Rauw Alejandro’s music video “Touching The Sky”. His portfolio includes collaborations with global music icons such as Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Anitta, and Christina Aguilera. Currently, Camilo is working on the highly anticipated Netflix series “Cien Años de Soledad” (Season 1 – Part 2), the streaming giant’s largest Latin American production.
