Katrina McCarthy

Katrina Mccarthy is an accomplished Film, TV, and commercial Costume Designer/Visual Artist with over 25 years of design experience in the industry.

Katrina began costuming in the mid 90’s in music videos, where she worked with talented artists including Sarah McLachlan and Matthew Goode. Discovering film, she worked on various Vancouver local TV series – the popular X-Files and Millennium among them. In 2000 Katrina designed her first Canadian series, Cold Squad, and continued from there, working in both film and television through the years. Rejoining X-Files in 2017 to design the final season brought her full circle back to the series she had trained on. Throughout her career, she has shot in various locations including Bangkok, Croatia, Los Angeles and Vancouver.

Katrina loves what she does. She is a versatile and energetic designer, priding herself on creating a positive working environment and fostering good relationships with cast and crew.
