Isabelle Stachtchenko

Director of Photography

Isabelle Stachtchenko is a Montreal-based cinematographer whose work encompasses both narrative and documentary projects, oftentimes opting for films that seem to walk the line between both worlds. With an interest in telling stories in a way that pushes formal boundaries, she is most known for her work with singular filmmakers such as Miryam Charles, Sophie Bédard-Marcotte and Matthew Rankin.

Although she works with all mediums, she has always gravitated towards shooting celluloid and has developed a deep knowledge of 16mm. With her repeated collaborations with several directors she enjoys building a true collaborative working relationship in order to bring a film to life.
