Alexei Dmitriew is a seasoned makeup artist with a remarkable track record. With over 20 years in the industry, he’s garnered recognition, including five Emmy Awards and two Makeup Guild honors. His expertise spans from traditional beauty makeup to the intricate world of special effects.
Transitioning from the music industry, Alexei found his true passion in makeup artistry and character design. He dedicated years to mastering digital design tools, which has proved instrumental in his career. In addition, his knack for understanding production dynamics has allowed him to lead large teams as a Department Head, for productions such as the acclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy vol3 crew.
Alexei is a Journeyman member of IATSE Local 706, the Television Academy, and the HCA Hollywood Creative Alliance. Additionally, he owns Hookup Tattoos, a reputable supplier of temporary tattoos to the film and television industry for over a decade. He designs custom tattoo services and has a retail line known globally for its quality.
